Protamines in the sperm heads of inbred and outbred mice

B. L. Reid

The spermatozoa of inbred mice have been of interest since the discogery of unusual variations in sperm shape in different straings (Braden, 1959). The shape variation led in turn to the discovery of an unusual segregation of transplantation genes in the progeny of these mice when mated to other inbred strains.
