THE FATE OF UNFERTILIZED EGGS IN MICE

Summary.: Unfertilized eggs were examined on the 1st to 5th days after ovulation, and were found to degenerate more rapidly in cyclic than in pseudopregnant mice. Unfertilized eggs appeared neither to shed the zona pellucida, nor to evoke Pontamine Blue sensitivity.
